Fiona is a Clinical Psychologist and Registered Play Therapist and Play Therapy Supervisor (APTA) with over 20 years experience working with children and families with a broad range of emotional, social and behavioural challenges. She has worked in a number of settings, including mental health and early intervention.
Fiona is passionate about engaging children in therapy through play and loves seeing families strengthen their relationships and create lasting bonds. Beginning by getting to know you and your family and developing a shared plan, Fiona tailors her approach to meet your individual needs. Fiona uses a range of therapeutic approaches including play therapy, ACT, EMDR, narrative therapy, and parent and family work, depending on what is the best fit for your child and family.
Fiona has many years experience completing developmental and diagnostic assessments. Having a respectful and gentle approach enables her to ensure that children and families are well supported throughout this process.
In addition to running her private practice Fiona is a senior Clinical Psychologist at the Royal Children’s Hospital. She is also a guest lecturer at a number of universities. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, specialising in child and family psychology, at the University of Melbourne.
Fiona loves spending time with her family, cooking and hanging out at the beach.
